Sladebank Woods aims to be accessible for as many people as possible. We’re delighted to work with a range of organisations so that groups and individuals with different abilities can enjoy the woods, including the Shrubberies School, Gloucestershire Deaf Association and Active Impact. We are aware that there are areas where improvements need to be made and we are committed to addressing these.
What a nice sunny day it was when our good friend Sheila Wynter came to Sladebank Woods on her mobility scooter to experience the woods for the first time.
Because of the nature of the land, the many paths are currently steep and may at times be slippery. We are working to improve access for disabled people and those with limited mobility. In May 2020 we secured funding from Barnwood to improve the path leading from The Rec to the Education Zone, and we will also install a compost toilet in this part of the woods.
We are committed to making our website accessible and easy to use.
Controls are available on the left of each screen where you can adjust the contrast and text size. It is compatible with voice readers.
